My guest today –
Has a background in Mechanical Engineering and is now a very important part of the Relive team, which when connected to your Strava or Garmin account “turns your adventure into a personal video worth sharing”.
I’d like to welcome from Relive.cc – Lex Daniels.
1. What is so good about being part of the Relive Team?
We all have one thing in common: We love to go outdoors and ride our bikes! Meaning we spend our days working on a product we like a lot! That makes it great to think about new features, implement and test them. For example, recently we added place names to our videos, a feature that a lot of our users (and we ourselves) wished to have. Testing the new function on our own rides was a lot of fun. Of course we also went for a ride the moment we finished working on the feature!
Besides riding our bikes, some of us also like to run, hike or go skiing in the winter. So That’s why we launched Relive for running last week! More sports will follow!
2. Can you give us a little bit of background about how you got involved with the team?
The idea for Relive started during a cycling holiday on Tenerife. After a beautiful day of stunning scenery, tough climbs, and friendly competition, we wanted to capture these memories and share our stories from the road with friends and family. We started building after our daily rides during that same holiday. Now, we’re proud to see hundreds of thousands of cyclists are using Relive to share their own stories. A community inspiring millions of people around the world with their passion for cycling and the outdoors.
3 What are the top 3 things that someone should know about Relive?
1 it is easy! Just signup once and go out riding/running and add some cool photos to your activity. We’ll automatically create a cool video for you to enjoy.
2 it is fun! After you’ve watched your ride, you can share it with others on social to show them where you’ve been. Bet they love seeing what you’ve been up to!
3 it is free! Relive is free of charge! No costs, just cool videos 😀
4. What’s the best way to get started using the app?
Right before you go out on a ride or run! All you need to do is download our app and connect your Strava or Garmin account. Track your activity with Strava/Garmin, make some pictures along the way and that’s it! We’ll create a custom video for you automatically for you to watch and share with friends and family
5. How long does it take to really get the most out of Relive’s features?
A long time:). One of our important goals is to always keep improving our service. So by the time you think you’ve seen it all we have probably launched a new piece of functionality!
As an example, we launched the ‘loop’ two week ago, a short snappy video where we combine some photos and an overview of the route. Really nice for shorter rides or when you want to share the route overview with friends!
A week later we added place names to our videos! More great stuff coming up :).
6. What does a person need to start using the app?
At the moment our service links with Strava or Garmin connect, so a user need an account there. Next to that there’s no requirements!
7. Can you provide some real-life feedback of other people who have used Relive?
From day one, we’re receiving loads of feedback from our users. Really great to see that people are so involved with us! Most just want to let us know how much they like Relive, others offer great suggestions. Some examples we received:
“Thank you for building Relive – it has been awesome for showing my family and friends what it is that I actually do when I disappear for half the day. It’s an awesome service!” Stephen Minchin
“Just want to say how A. W. E. S. O. M. E. I think relive is and I really appreciate being able to look back at my rides, sharing them with friends and family. You are very talented!! Kudos for all the work you’ve done.” Cynthia Ramirez
“What a brilliant app, I love Strava and this seems to be the icing on that cake. Best for really long rides and makes a good viewing for friends and family. Love it.” Ben Handley
8. If you had one secret to give about the app, what would it be?
At the moment we create videos for running and cycling activities. If you’re into other sports, just set your activity type to cycling/running to get the video 😉
9. Do you have anything in mind for Relive in future?
Of course we have big plans: One of the things we’re exploring right now is all about going out together with friends. Like most things, going outside is even more fun when you’re out there with friends. There’s definitely some cool opportunities there!
10. Where can people find more information about Relive?
Visit www.relive.cc, there you’ll find everything you want to know! Else you can get in touch with us via email@example.com
Thanks again for your time Lex, keep up the great work.

Like any sport, bicycling involves risk of injury and damage. By choosing to ride a bicycle, you assume the responsibility for that risk, so you need to know — and to practice — the rules of safe and responsible riding and of proper use and maintenance. Proper use and maintenance of your bicycle reduces risk of injury.
